During the months of November and December 2021, the Albufeira project will carry out various travelling exhibitions and visits to schools aimed at promoting knowledge and awareness of the importance of water resources in the transboundary area as a joint wealth that must be protected and used in a sustainable manner, in line with the Albufeira Convention signed by the Spanish and Portuguese governments.
These activities in schools will include themes on environmental awareness and will include topics such as responsible consumption, the river and the senses, knowledge about bodies of water, species and habitats of the basin in which the schools are located, why the flow of a river varies, water analysis and accompanied by gymkhanas, stimulating awareness and knowledge of each of the Hydrographic Confederations of Albufeira.
The activities began on 23 November in the Miño-Sil Hydrographic Demarcation basin, specifically in the Galician town of Tui, and will end on 10 December.
