Awareness-raising on cooperation in shared river basins

01. GOALS

The aim of this activity is to promote knowledge and awareness of the importance of water resources in the cross-border area as a joint wealth that must be protected and used in a sustainable manner, in line with the Albufeira Convention signed by the Spanish and Portuguese governments.

02. TRAINING ACTIONS

Training in the implementation of the protocol and the shared monitoring programme in transboundary river basins.
Training of technicians in charge of managing Natura 2000 Network sites.
Organisation of four scientific and technical seminars

03. AWARENESS-RAISING ACTIONS

Planning of activities in schools.
Organisation of user schools.
Organisation of a travelling exhibition in towns.
Publication of informative and didactic material in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
